BELLYDANCE EXTRAVAGANZA - WORKSHOP, DINNER & SHOW

Annual show by Stratford's Daughters of Isis featuring an afternoon workshop with Ishra, delicious dinner, and an evening show featuring lots of southern Ontario talent. 

Back by popular demand, Ishra will be holding her third annual workshop during the day  - this year on Tribalesque Saidi - a unique workshop blending modern Bellydance with old country Saidi.  Ishra uses tribal elements incorporating floreos, intricate isolations and flamenco attitude and seamlessly fuses it with Saidi's heavy hips, earthy shoulder drops and sly head slides.  The muscular precision of Tribal influence tightens the screws on Saidi's loose folkloric movements, resulting in the coalescence of Tribalesque Saidi.  Bring your zills and learn the breakdown of the Saidi beat as well as off beat variations.  A day of mixing the old with the new, allowing our art form to continue to grow.

Delicious Indian buffet dinner will be available after the workshop and before the show.

ONE WORLD is the largest multicultural showcase on campus hosted by the International Student Organization (ISO). The theme of this year's show is "World Peace" and the donations will go to "Project Masai."

A Bohemian show that turns rejection into a celebration where everyone feels welcome.  Invoke-Tress will perform a sassy Burlesque fusion and will also unveil the first ever Invoke-Tress Musicbox (drum solo).

Convivencia is a term used to express co-existence and harmony among cultures. Invoke-Tress performed karshilama. Ishra did two solos: one was a flamenco fusion, the other was "Gates of Istanbul."

MISH MASH BELLY BASH - 5TH ANNUAL

Invoke-tress pushes the envelope with original innovative works, fusing bellydance with modern, stick and staff dancing, Kathak (East Indian), jazz, cabaret and hip hop.  A night of passionate dance, soulful live music, laughter  and emotion.  A dollar of every ticket will be donated to Breast Cancer of Canada.

Invoke-Tress teamed up with live musicians Eccodek for an electric mix of music and dance. Invoke-Tress performed a Fijian stick fighting dance and an East Indian influenced number including elements of Kathak. Ishra performed a jazzy solo.

HALLOWEEN BEWITCHING BELLY BALL

Invoke-Tress performed a very sassy cabaret inspired stool number to Prince's "Kiss" with KISS make-up to boot. Ishra did her Crawling King Snake solo.
